These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the myVal™ platform, including its website, mobile applications, and associated services (collectively referred to as “myVal”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By using myVal™, you agree to comply with these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the platform.

To use myVal™, you must:

• Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
• Be at least 18 years of age.

You may be required to register an account and provide accurate, complete, and current information. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

You agree to use myVal™ only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:

• Use the platform in a way that disrupts, damages, or interferes with our systems.
• Upload false, misleading, or infringing content.
• Use automated means (e.g. bots, scrapers) to access the platform without permission.

The valuations provided by the App are estimates based on available data and algorithms. These estimates:

• May not reflect the actual value of your household contents.
• Are not intended to replace professional appraisals or insurance evaluations.
• Should be used as a guideline only.

myVal™ may display general insurance-related information. This does not constitute personal financial advice. You should always consult your insurer to understand your specific policy terms and coverage.

myVal™ may contain links to third-party websites or integrate with third-party services. We are not responsible for their content, terms, or privacy practices.

We may update, suspend, or remove parts of the platform at our discretion. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access.

myVal™ may provide indicative valuations and replacement cost estimates based on:

• Information you provide
• Public and industry data
• Internal models

These outputs are subject to the following conditions:

• They are not a substitute for professional valuations.
• You must verify and accept all input data.
• Outputs are provided without physical inspection.
• Data may become outdated.
• myVal does not reflect insurer-specific policy conditions.
• We disclaim liability for reliance on outputs.

The free version includes indicative estimates only. We recommend seeking independent advice before relying on these figures.

Indicative outputs are general in nature and do not constitute financial or insurance advice. Always consult a qualified professional (e.g. valuer, quantity surveyor) before relying on any estimate. Use is at your own risk.

myVal™ is committed to data protection and privacy through its dedicated 5Val security and onboarding framework, based on the Australian Government’s Five Safes model:

• Safe People: Only authorised personnel with background checks and confidentiality agreements access sensitive data
• Safe Projects: Data is used solely for the services you request and is anonymised where appropriate.
• Safe Settings: Data is stored on secure, Australian-based servers with encryption and compliance with ISO 27001 and ASD Essential Eight standards.
• Safe Data: Identifying information is minimised, separated from image and valuation data, and not retained unless explicitly provided.
• Safe Outputs: You control all report exports and disclosures, with built-in redaction and formatting tools to protect your privacy.

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access without notice in the event of a breach of these Terms or misuse of the platform.

myVal™ is provided “as is”. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, except where prohibited by law. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law remain unaffected.

We may revise these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
